(b) Find the coordinates of the vertex and the axis of symmetry of the graoh. 3. The function y=(x-2)(3-2x)+x-k has an optimum value 1. (a) state whether the optimum value is a MAX. or a MIN. (b) find the value of k . (c) find the number of x-intercepts of the graph of the function. as i know, the no. of x-intercepts depends on the value of discriminant ,however from the equation, i don;t seem to find the value of b^2-4ac. Is there any method to fins out the discriminant from this equation? thanks 更新: why 2b, x=0? 更新 2: oh and i get it now! i am so stupid ...
